Lakewood Library
Lakewood Library Exterior Storytime with Mark Randall Teen Area Kids Area Fiction Books

You feel smarter just walking into the Lakewood Library where it seems as if you can find information about nearly anything you want to know.

Team up with a reference librarian to find answers to those tricky questions. Lakewood offers the largest reference section of any Jefferson County Public Library location, and staff members love a challenge. Are you trying to track down that elusive ancestor? In addition to online and reference resources, Lakewood's genealogy collection is larger than any other JCPL location. (Check out the Foothills Genealogical Society web page.) You will also find the latest government and legal information. Lakewood is an official depository for United States, Colorado, Jefferson County and City of Lakewood documents, including a collection of Colorado and U.S. statutes and cases.

If your mood runs more to entertainment, check out the large DVD collection, with movies for kids in the children's room. Storytimes and book groups introduce you to good reads and fellow book lovers. Browse through the magazines, a larger selection than the other Jefferson County public libraries. Join one of several book groups for kids or adults. Grab a coffee from the vending area and enjoy the free WiFi. Meet neighbors who have been coming to this library for more than 30 years. They know this is a comfortable place to work or relax. You're likely to agree.
