Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate

The first one said, "I just can't wait."

The second one said, "I'll be there."

The third one said, "If you dare."

The fourth one said "Let's run, let's run!"

The fifth one said, "Isn't Halloween fun!"

Woooooo went the wind...

and the pumpkins made merry,

as they rolled on over to their local LIBRARY...

Join us for Halloween Storytimes and Events from October 16th through November 1st! Your local library will be celebrating Halloween with a ton of fun programs! We hope to see you there, in costume!!

What do you think of when you hear the words Book Club? A group of moms, sitting around someone's coffee table, discussing the latest chick lit? Or maybe a group of teens, sipping Starbucks and waxing prophetically?

Well, here at JCPL , we have our own kind of book club, and KIDS may apply!

Not only do you get to read a great book and share your thoughts about it with other kids, you also get to do a fun activity that relates to the book. Zen gardens, creating your own cartoon, quiz shows, scavenger hunts, and making Rube Goldberg machines are just a few of the things we have done so far. And what kids meeting would be complete without a snack?

Check out what your local library will be doing this month:

PAWS for Reading at Golden

by:
Bethany

It's gone to the dogs at the Golden Library...just not in the way you're thinking. We are continuing our popular PAWS for Reading program through the end of the year.

If you haven't heard about this fun and rewarding program, read on.

We've joined with the Pet Partners, who provide an animal therapy program that brings in four-legged friends for children to read to. Dogs are the perfect reading companions, creating a relaxed, comfortable and safe environment to share stories. Bring in the kids for a unique and meaningful experience.

Registration is required at the Children's Information Desk. Children must be able to read on their own.

Fun with Numbers

by:

Space is limited, come early to get a spot.

The fun starts this month at the Wheat Ridge Library on Thursday, June 12.
1 p.m. for 5-8-year-olds
2:30 p.m. for 8-12-year-olds
